Hello people!

Phew, that January went fast. Thanks to some school work, I didn’t have much time to devote to the IR entry. But still, after hours of intense building and few thinking breaks I was able to pull out a rather nice MOC. With out further wait, here is my entry:

Crowbar Hero and the Last Boss

Brickshelf folder

“Location: MOON Time: 2049

..Crowbar Hero knows the danger, he dances with it. Regular enemy gets killed in five seconds if he gets to the way of Hero. Trusty black crowbar in his hands, this hispanian legend has just killed almost every enemy in the building. Many lagged fights, many bloody frags, hundreds of power-ups... Will this never end, Hero mumbles.

The last corner! After this pont there is no return. Adreline is bumbing, the crowbar is ready, the healt is at 100%. Last quick breathes and then he is off. He turns in to the last alley...

...What is this? A LAST BOSS?”

Inspiration: As you might have guessed, the Crowbar Hero and the Last Boss is my humoristic view of one of the oldest and iditiotic genre of video games, First Person Shooters.

This creation draws inspiration far and wide. Crowbar (taken from Half-Life) wielding Hero (since the winner MUST be hero) against four legged robot (it seems that nearly every FPS require atleast one robot enemy) which is almost triple his size (Boss can’t be small), now that is a classic battle of good and evil.

There is also things that are similar to the FPS games. A small bugs here and there, awful color selection, all of this can be seen in some “brand new games”. World is yet to see a perfect FPS.

Using the picture: I admit, my version doesn’t follow the standard line. It seems that there is nothing similar to the picture! However, may I guide your vision on the legs? The structure is similar to the one in picture. Plus the “nose cone” of the front of the mecha. The large cannon? Ditto, it is there. Also, the idea of having the mechas body in 45 degree angle comes from the “shoulder pads” one can see in the picture.

Well folks, there you have it! I hope that you be inspired by the work that I did on this one. It is meant to be a sarcastic view of the FPS genre, so please, treat it as that ;)
