Re: Numbers and Letters set, anyone get this?

Yes, that would be sets 487 & 987 for the letters, and 488 & 988 for the numbers (the 400 series came in early/mid 60's, the 900 series came late 60's-early 70's). All of these sets were printed on 1x1 white bricks. I've got both of the number sets (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Also sprach Matthew Miller: : For clarity: not that droids are little monkeys. (...) <snip> If the set were old enough, it might make a difference if you were talking Cellulose Acetate versus ABS plastic. I bought a set #717 (Junior Constructor) from circa 1963 on EBAY recently. I was surprised to find that besides the pieces (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: POV, LDLite and Perspective views

Wireframe is _much_ faster. About 70% of the time taken by ldlite for a model such as LL928 is spent filling in quads. However, wireframe gets messy after only a few bricks. I'm playing with ActiveX modellers, where you can move a slider bar and it (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Trains site

Thanks everyone. I am glad to see I have created such a response. I finally finished the site, and I will be posting the rest of it tomorrow morning. Nope, I only worked at Lego in '86 and '87. Sorry, I was a bit vague about the front window. There (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: This is why TLG lost money

Then why didn't my friend see the Freestyle sets and say, "Ah, that's what I was looking for"? Maybe because the models pictured on the set look like something that would interest a 3-4 year old. By "dopey" pieces I mean the patterns they slap all (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Low Corner Slopes in Roof Parts Packs?
