  New MOC: American flag "mosaic"

This is a small mosaic (a little over 200 pieces) of an American flag. It uses plates for the star field and bricks for the stripes. It measures 13 bricks high, 28 studs wide, and 2 studs deep: (URL) also used a cleaned up version of one of the (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: The Red Ghost

They are the most rare in the sense that each is unique, but in general terms, I bet there are more flame-colored bricks than red ghosts. Also, Flame-Colored bricks, as they are officially called, are still being found in new sets today! You know (...) (22 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Can you make you site name out of lego bricks?

Not quite sure where to put this, so I'll put it here. Does Lego let you use lego bricks to make you site name, i.e. have it look like it was made out of Lego? With all these copywrite laws, I'm not even sure if building with lego is legle! Thanks (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Tom's WANTED list - 2x4 black bricks tops it...

They aren't hidden when you pull the outside off of the inside ;-) I'll use misc colors as the support for the inside, with only black showing, but the entire outside will lift off to access the inside chambers/tunnels, so I want to do it right and (...)   Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) I'd say, brickwise, Tyco's biggest problem is they didn't round off the edges of the bricks. You thought it hurt to step on *LEGO* bricks? Those Tyco pieces were doubly painful. Also, the lack of rounding made it hard to pry the pieces apart. (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: How the heck do you use SNOT???

I'm not sure how much this will help, but the SNOT that ends up on my MOCs is because of what I'm trying to do. I use a lot of hinges and brackets to get the SNOT effect I'm trying for. Also, technical bricks and the modified bricks and plates are (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jul-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New Service Packs for 1999..

You're right. When you try stacking those macaroni bricks, they become very unstable. I usually use only 3 or 4 on top of each other, and then a curved plate on top of that (sort of an overhang). The only stability with these is if you make a light (...) (26 years ago, 28-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

Yeah, yeah, I'm resurrecting my own thread ... so shoot me. Okay, here's the low-down: sorting got put on a hold for a long while for a variety of reasons, most of them revolving around work. I recently got back into "sorting mode". My red and light (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.storage, FTX)
