I'm not sure how much this will help, but the SNOT that ends
up on my MOCs is because of what I'm trying to do. I use a lot
of hinges and brackets to get the SNOT effect I'm trying for.
Also, technical bricks and the modified bricks and plates are
great for it.
I'm not really sure what you mean by "behind the plates;" otherwise,
I would offer more than ramblings :)
