  Re: AND gate brick?

(...) Additionally, if you had bricks for all these types of functions, you could build logic systems with the bricks directly from schematics or circut diagrams...   Wanted: *OLD* brown 1 x 4 hinge bricks

Hello, As the subject indicates, I am looking for 1 x 4 hinge bricks in the old brown. I need many of them for a project I'm working on, and it looks like my hopes are dashed of ever getting them in new sets. I know these pieces were manufactured, (...)   Is it efficient to replace plates w/bricks in a plates studs up mosaic?

Is it efficient to replace plates w/bricks in a plates studs up mosaic? I always thought it was and have been trying to think of a way to implement it in Bricksaic for about a year. I was trying to come up with a smart and efficient way of doing it. (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

Do you do more damage to bricks keeping them built in walls/cubes/piles which keeps them "flexed" or keeping them loose which lets them get (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.storage)

(...) Yes, on walls like that, staggered bricks would be better. But look at this set: (URL) 1xNx5 bricks would make it a whole lot more stable than stacked bricks. On short walls, pressure exertedfrom the side can easily punch the wall out. These (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: The History Of LEGO Sloped Bricks - Part 1

Jeff, you asked a very good question. Texture was an interesting part of these sloped pieces. The 1958-72 parts packs basically had the same texture. Not until the mid-1970's did the texture on some of the LEGO bricks start to vary. My train station (...) (25 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: TUDOR Patterned Castle Wall

(...) No advice here, but for this: (...) Just build them out of 1x2 and 1x4 log bricks. If you use 1x4 log bricks to connect wall sections together instead of 1x2s, then voila, a 2 wide, 3 high window. No cutting needed. :) HTH James (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Well, an unopened 950 pc box (1857) weighes just an ounce or so short of 3 pounds. But it really depends on what bricks you're talking about. 600 2x6's will weigh more than 600 1x1's.
