A Japanese acquaintance of mine... Yashihiro Kondo... has left me gasping... there's a whole other world of LEGO out there... this time sold in Japan from 1970-78! (...) OK... I got you now Lar... the Minitalia brick in that image is composite plastic and it is USED. So that plastic is softer than ABS plastic and therefore shows more wear when in used condition. Later Minitalia was made of ABS... and retains a (...) (11 years ago, 9-Apr-13, to lugnet.general)

Gary In the comparision picture, is that Minitalia brick really worn? My Minitalias have crisp edges rather than rounded ones, like the Olo bricks (12 years ago, 7-Apr-13, to lugnet.general)

(...) Anders, those 1949 era bricks (only 2x2 and 2x4 would have been made that year)... did not have any LEGO identification on them. From 1949-52 there was no LEGO logo on the studs, and none on the underside. From 1952-55 there was no LEGO logo (...) (12 years ago, 30-Dec-12, to lugnet.general)

LEGO stickers were introduced in circa 1972. Prior to that LEGO sets would have printed bricks... mostly in the 1x6 and 1x8 sizes.
