Re: What kind of geek are you?

(...) Not always. For instance, I went to Celebration III for the chance to do a head-to-head ISD speed-build team tournament (truly a LEGO-geek thing I thought). It was also my first "exposure" to Star Wars geeks... which wasn't all together a bad (...) (17 years ago, 6-Dec-07, to lugnet.org.ca.obb)

Going out of business sale at Bucy's Bricks

Just a reminder that I am closing down my store as soon as I sell enough of my inventory. All parts are at least 35% off. Thanks and happy shopping! John Bucy's Bricks (URL) (17 years ago, 23-Nov-07, to lugnet.market.brickshops)

  Re: Heads up, Cloneophiles

(...) If asked 3 years ago, I would have agreed, but with the recent TLG production outsourcing, I've had too many bad experiences with regards to colour to find LEGO superior. (...) I just wanted to add a 'me too' to your steamer. I really can't add anything that hasn't already been said or addressed. I agree that the tank shroud around the boiler could be more smooth, but the aforementioned cheese slope additions should (...) (17 years ago, 26-Nov-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Thanks Ben I tried out the 1x1 slopes. It definitely helps smooth things out more. The cab interior still needs a bit of work. I,m not quite happy with the detailing yet. The cramped space makes it challenging. I'll get some pics up in the (...) (17 years ago, 26-Nov-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
