  Re: Libertarian Propaganda

(...) Yeah, I was hoping Gorman would get the nomination myself. Assasination is probably not something most Libertarians would agree with, and I'm sure it's not in the platform. I think his idea was to put bounties on people, like, $1 million for (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Bad Policy #2 (Why all the secrecy, LEGO Direct?)

(...) I largely agree with you and Suz about the intent of the summit. But I don't have a problem with LEGO manufacturing interest in their product. I see advertising (including posts on LUGNET, leaks, summits, etc.) as a very good thing. It gives (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Lost Empire?

(...) I think it's based on a Marian (sp?) Zimmer Bradley book. The only fantasy I've even read is Tolkien, so I don't know else much about it. She's pretty popular, though; when I worked in a bookstore, I got a lot of questions about her, (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja)

  3 new cutters

Hello all! I have just put up pictures of my 3 cutters (only one with sail) on Brickshelf: (URL) let me know what you think! Questions for Frank Filz: Would these fit into the Pirate Game? Should I bring them for use in the game at Brickfest? Thanks (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Polybag Racks (was: Shopping Anecdote and Suggestions (Long))

(...) That (LEGO's current HTO concept) is not what I'm talking about. As Mike said, $5 is not an impulse buy. Also, the current displays lack variety. One set is not an adequate selection for a really interesting display. I have also seen the Ninja (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) display. (...) That's exactly the point. Sets that can only be found at a few widely scattered locations (as the HTO items are) can't be really called impulse buys. If you could only find Slim Jims at 1 out of 20 gas stations, and you had to (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: Polybag Racks (was: Shopping Anecdote and Suggestions (Long))

(...) I don't think that will happen. LEGO's usual design for polybags is 1 minifig and a small cart/backdrop/vehicle to go with him. I'm more concerned with getting more polybags out there than changing the way they make them. Especially since they (...) (24 years ago, 12-Mar-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Evangelion was the first (and only, so far) anime I really got into. I've been hoping somebody would do one of the EVA's or maybe one of the Angels (although they're not as mech-like). They would be way beyond my level of skill, but I'm sure (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Bad Policy #1 (What's the deal, LEGO Direct?)

The recent offering of old service packs on shop.lego.com has got me upset over what I see as a bad policy of LEGO's: no shipping outside shop-at-home territories.
