I think it's fantastic! But I have a question:
I've been staring at that animation for 30 minutes know and I still can't
figure out how that amazing hatch works! I see that at the bottom of the door
there are 1x1 technic beams which attach to 1x2 technic beams with 2 holes
(presumably?) that slide out.
What I can't figure out is what is keeping them from sliding all the way out.
The only thing I can imagine is that the plates under the 1x2 beams go back
into the ship and connect to a piece mounted perpendicular which blocks the
hatch from sliding out.
I am so fascinated by this because it seems to me to be the hatch to end all
hatches. Excellent job with it, and if you could throw me a bone here, it would
be much appreciated. I'm sure everybody will give you much praise and credit
when we copy your design. "That's 2 T's in Trotter, boys".
