  Re: Holy Mackerel! LEGO survey...

(...) Yes, in fact I do. (...) They hold my 4-year-old son's attention much longer than most toys. It's also something he and I can do together, for many hours, so it's a great bonding experience as well. (...) For kids, I'd get a bit more licensing (...)   Re: level of interest in 7151 / Sith ?

Interesting... This exposes a market operation that lego sales have not entered into much. Where there is product readily available in some places and demand in others (at an unknown price point). If would be nice if there was a demand oriented (...) (24 years ago, 6-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: LEGO Group and Disney Consumer Products Announce Building Sets Inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean

(...) What I always saw as a core problem with the Pirates theme is that you basically get small ships, large ships, forts, and the occassional island. That's pretty much it. Ships are ships are ships are ships, and where the Space subthemes had (...) (14 years ago, 22-Nov-10, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.pirates, FTX)

In lugnet.mediawatch, John Neal writes: <snip> I'm having a hard time reconciling "Jason Rowoldt" and "merely another slimeball" as phrases that belong in the same *post*, frankly. After reading all of the posted replies to what “we” the enthusiasts would want to see from Lego Technic I wish to go on record supporting some of my colleges vehicle ideas and list a few of my own.   Re: First Trains

(...) Hmm. I tried powering my train motor off a battery box, connecting to the electric studs on the top, and it belted around the track. I guess you're using slow speed mode from the RCX? I'd be a bit worried about how much power the RCX can put (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  The Rare Canadian LEGO Flag

Re: Help on upgrading MS 1.0 to 1.5

This whole discussion got me curious if I had just lucked out getting my free $3.95 upgrade, so I call Consumer Affairs (800 233-8756) and spoke to Barbara. She explained the whole policy as: (and I paraphrase here, but accurately I think) Any RIS (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Emergency - Half Dead Robot

Hi All, I powered on my handyboard the other day, and the next thing that happened was a click noise and some black smoke from the top left part of the HB (the F1, U13 area).   Review of UFO 6915 Warp Wing-Fighter

Knowing that discontinued toys were 30% off, I went to Zellers today to get some of the older LEGOs for my collection. I definately did not plan on getting the 6915 though, I didn't kow it would be there. But for some reason, I had a craving for a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)
