Re: RCX & RIS, a fading glory?

(...) Well, you could - but use two sets of wires - one for power, the other for data. The problem is that what's a clever idea for connecting motors (rotate the connector 180 degrees to reverse the polarity) is a disaster for data connections (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: 2nd Round of Target Sales Begins!

Well it's Sunday, so we woke early this morning to do the Wisconsin Target run. We did Oshkosh, Appleton (x2) and Fond Du Lac Targets and they are all still at 30%. Strangest thing was one Appleton store had Railway express at 30% off, the other (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Special sub group for the Bricks-Only brigade?

Can there be a group devoted to the doomsday scenario discussions? Every time a new set comes out (or is spotted in a fuzzy photograph) there is a hue and cry that follows the form: "There is an insufficient number of (...) (23 years ago, 18-Feb-02, to lugnet.admin.general)

There are two kinds of space jacks on this moon. The first does his 8 to 8 grind, balling the laserdrill in the ice mines, dreaming of the day when he'll get his reward, a tiny cube in Tranquility Gardens, with minimal life support, if a blowout or (...) (...) You're right, I haven't. To-date, I've done nothing more complicated than a straight sale. I am gearing up for a small set auction, and am considering if the amount of work that would go into a parts auction is worth it to me. I am aware that (...)
