Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) That is why I said 'of sufficient involvement' and the no hard and fast rules bit you snipped. In the case of a small convention like BV then there simply aren't the funds to let all the volunteers in for free. In that case you have to set the (...)   Re: BrickJournal 7 is OUT!

(...) I'll answer your comments individually: Until recently, the magazine printing schedule was governed by the speed that the layouts could be done - and that meant that it came down to me because I was the primary layout artist.   Re: Peeron inventories

(...) Because there is a financial interest in the BrickLink inventories, they tend to get more interest from people who want them to accurately reflect what's in the box. There some feature of BL inventories that I don't think are available on (...) (18 years ago, 8-Mar-07, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: 10183 Hobby Train Review

(...) I'm not sure what you're saying. That because Lego doesn't have a DCC system, arbitrary curve geometry, etc, that Lego doesn't *have* a hobbyist market? Here's the skinny: You've got people who don't care if we switch to a battery system, and (...) (18 years ago, 12-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) See, now, again, this has nothing to do with anything. Yeah, you're older than I am. You're older than most AFOLs. Ok. But I don't think being older gives you a free pass to be condescending. That's the sort of thing I mean. You can say what (...) (18 years ago, 8-Mar-07, to lugnet.inv)
