| On this rare occasion, I find myself not agreeing with Lar here. Personal experience with Netscape News has been very troublesome. | (...) Neat. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature. If you look at the message header, you'll notice that "Followup-To:" is set for "poster", which turns the reply button into a "mailto:" command. Your Outlook Express, OTOH, is probably set to expire the (downloaded) posts after 30 days, but you can change that, and get them again by resetting the newsgroup. Or, you can read lugnet via the (...) (19 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.general)

| (...) The problem is that Outlook 98 and Outlook Express seem to use some joint configuration wrto e-mail. The result is that I have been unable to configure OE to send the e-mail itself. | To All, I have been playing around with Microsoft Outlook 5.0, and I have to say, it seems to work better than Netscape Communicator 4.7 so far.
