of .market, at least temporarily.  That would hit him where he lives, as
they say.  But as I've said before, I tend to go in for the iron-fisted
johdpur-and-mirrored-sunglasses-wearing dictator approach to rule (at least,
when people cross me).

This is something I've wondered about - if posting eBay auctions here
makes much difference.  I'm sure it can, but I'm not sure it always
does.

I've run a few auctions this week (small stuff all, to be sure)
without mentioning them on LUGNET or RTL.  In every case the sets
seemed to go for what I expected they would or more.

From my perspective as a buyer, I don't think it has that much effect for my
buying. Of course I currently have time to skim the entire daily Lego section
of eBay. Probably once a month or every other month, someone announces an
auction which I either missed, or had a poor title, and I go check it out.
Mostly I wish Outlook Express and Netscape had the same "filter" choices
Outlook 98 has so I could flush all the eBay postings at once.

It's almost to the point where I'd almost like to see lugnet.market.ebay, and
allow all the other auction postings in lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade (there
just aren't many auctions outside eBay any more).
