| John Neal makes this same point in another post as well. The GMLTC layout is different from most others in that Conan has enough bricks to build the whole 16-module section with his own bricks. It's less like other layouts where people each bring (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

I was simply trying to put forth the idea that this is supposed to be fun and from the thread so far (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

| To me Lego is something to relax your mind, something to escape from the harsh realities of life. It is something to chill you down and to release your artistic thoughts. But to flourish in Lego intelligence, most teenagers must go through the Dark (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug) !

| (...) Perhaps one could argue that it's all about *LEGO*. When push comes to shove, we at the GMLTC don't push *trains* necessarily, but the concept of *LEGO*-- creativity, etc. Most of us were fans of the brick first. So whether dad is inspired by (...) A minor addition: If we make our buildings using a 'standard' footprint, it will allow us to mix & match them a little bit, so perhaps our town might get re-arranged between (or during!) shows.
