  The Royal Train Website

Happy New Year! I've finally completed a new website showcasing my Lego train layout in the NW suburbs of Chicago (ocassionally refered to as GMLTC south). You can check it out at "www.royal-train.com". There was a lot of interest when I managed to (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains) !!

  My Latest MOC-- a Chateau

This MOC is a departure for me in a couple of ways. Normally, I build trains and train related stuff. After having been to LLC this past summer, I became inspired to create a building that had miniland detail in it, but was minifig scale. So I built (...)   Re: GMLTC

Well I can't speek for the members of GMLTC but I think you could say "thems the breaks". They were there frist and they could name themselves whatever they wanted and they picked GMLTC. I would suggest that if your MICHLTC expands to other states (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) A while ago, didn't Brian say that the details are stickers? I seem to remember him talking about buying stickers and cutting them with an exacto knife. I found the article (I searched my lugnet.trains archive), so I'll add it below. Chris The (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.publish.photography)

(...) I know first-hand that Brian does NOT paint the bricks. The colors are from various kinds of adhesive tapes, and they could all be removed without harming the bricks (if for some reason he decided he needed to do that...) I've seen a few of (...) I was also just thinking that the Castle display at TCS had some stock sets in it (of course that display was also being done for a store which obviously has (...) It uses hundreds of the 1x2 tiles w/ top center stud to achieve some subtle detailing. One of these days I'll get some digital (...)
