| I've discovered the problem. When I mounted the Handyboard, I used metal standoffs. When the board is mounted, it doesn't work. When it isn't, it does. | yup, here's what's going on. the motor percent argument controls the POWER, not the speed. if the motor is essentially unloaded, it will run at nearly full speed even at a low power percentage. if you build a gear train that makes the motor do some (...) | can you ascertain whether the knob is returning the same value every time through the loop? i wasn't clear if "even when the knob is not changing" meant just that you weren't turning the knob, or whether you were sure it was always producing the (...) | Actually, unless Fred has changed the way the sensor connectors work he was quite clever in that the spacing of the I/O connectors is exactly dip switch width.
