Kent Farnsworth put together a set of GNU compiler tools, Randy's modified AS11 assembler, and a DOS version of the "as11_ic" Unix shell script, all working for (...) you can use dip switches in the standard digital in ports if you either (a) solder them to male header first, or (b) insert them in a wire-wrap socket and then insert the wire-wrap socket pins into the HB sensor ports. both of these methods get (...) I don't remember exactly, but the memory map for IC is something like: pcode itself: 8K used user compiled code + global program data: 16K available user process stacks and runtime locals: 8K available ---...--- 32K total memory this is ball park. I am going to guess this is a software problem on the PC side. If you can boot your computer in DOS mode, try running IC then. Or find an older box :-(. (...) Yes, the freeware MS-DOS/Windows tools have been known to have problems on some new/fast PCs. It all has to do with old serial drivers. Newton Labs stands behind the commercial product.
