Dear all,
I must apologize for the long delay and stringing everyone along
waiting for the Expansion Board. Even now I hesitate to answer for it
is not pleasant to have nothing to show presently.
Currently, I am working on the "Advanced Sensing" chapter of the book,
which includes IR communications, ultrasonic and optical ranging,
quadrature shaft encoding, and sensor data filtering.
After this I have the go-ahead from my publisher to work on the
Appendices, of which the most important is the one on the Expansion
Board.
Of course the Expansion Board must be done in order to write about it,
so its design in on deck pending the current chapter getting finished,
which should happen over the next several weeks.
So I won't give a firm date on the Exp Board, but it will happen soon
... really.
Re: the book itself, it is looking now like spring 1998.
