did you perchance use a different telephone cable when plugging in your HB? if so, please see the FAQ for an answer. if not, there was some kind of short, either at the rj11 connectors or on the HB. -fred In your message you said: (...) (27 years ago, 12-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

READ THIS AND AVOID BLOWING YOUR CHARGER BOARD

(...) the list archives are linked from the Mailing List page, which is linked from the HB Home Page. (...) Yeah, that's wrong. phone handsets use a physically different plug, so they're not going to be a problem b/c they don't plug in right. The (...) dear german, i think what's going on is that you are asking very open-ended questions that require a lot of work to compose a helpful response. if i remember right, your earlier question was with regard to networking using the spi port of long (...)   IC version 3.1

It has recently come to my attention that IC version 3.1 has been released. I have been using (actually struggling with) the earlier version that came with my purchase of an assembled Handyboard from Gleason Research. Does the new version work (...) No, don't use a transistor! The HB's IR out already has one. But the parallel-with-a-sepa...r-for-each method is correct. -Fred In your message you said: (...) (27 years ago, 5-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Handyboard Expansion Board

Actually, unless Fred has changed the way the sensor connectors work he was quite clever in that the spacing of the I/O connectors is exactly dip switch width. Basically you can plug in a DIP switch into the I/O header and get as many switches as (...) (27 years ago, 22-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  DLM and Mini Board

Billy, (...) Make sure your defaults are right. Type "DLM" with no args to see the possibilities. You want -256 and -mb.   Re: Which 68HC11x1xx

'a0 is an earlier and discontinued version of the 'a1. 'e1 has some different features than the 'a1 but is almost identical for HB purposes. 'e1 has a little more internal RAM (which isn't really used by Interactive C) and some more flexibility on (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
