Re: A Falcon in the works???

(...) Compare TLG models to MOC models. MOC models nearly always use many more pieces than comparable TLG models. So if MOC MF's use 2000 pieces, TLG can produce a streamlined version with about 1000 pieces. 'Streamlined' in this case means (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Right. So the torso-mold-replacement seems to have happened between the production runs for 1998 and 1999. Right about the time the soccer sets would have been produced. Steve (25 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.general)

First off, I'd just like to say that the idea that somebody had about selling small parts of the Falcon seperately, and including instructions that allowed you to put the small parts together was a great idea. (...) So . . . throw in a little electrical component. Make it light up, or something. Even without this, though, I feel that most of the people on this board would be willing to pay somewhere between $150 - 200 for a minifig Falcon, with a "full (...) I am starting a miniauction for a 5906 Ruler of the Jungle. This set is not available in the US according to the folks at Lego Shop at Home. (...) I was wondering if the large UFO hull pieces could be used. Those things are 15x15, right? That'd give a 30-stud diameter, more if the hull pieces spaced out, leaving room for docking arms and engine exhaust ports and forward holds. This would (...)
