Legends Vote winner - Announcement tomorrow!

Well, the time has finally come... well almost. After tallying the votes and checking them twice (yes, for some I will indeed look like Santa), we are ready to announce the winner of the LEGO Legends Vote! Check (URL) tomorrow for the official (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: What makes 375 a Legend?

Hello! (...) I've got very vague memorizations of the Yellow Castle. When it was initially released in 1978 I was just one year old. However, it was in catalogue until 1983 and probably in many stores still available one or two years later. But (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) Well, point of the example wasn't to say that it's the *same* as what was offered, but that just because there's a vote doesn't mean it's the voters' "fault". IE that it's possible for TLC to give certain nominees a better/worse chance of (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  The NEXT Pirates Legend

Black Sea Barracuda will return as the first Pirates Legend, probably helped in part that new Pirates sets have been absent for several years. It's quite possible that all the other nominees will see production as a Legend before we see another (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Legoworld 2002 - a brief review (and a longer one) - THE WRITER EXPOSED !

(...) Thanks for your enthusiasm, it was great and you had also your contribute to this succes. But I will correct some. The president of the club is not Paul Wolters but Paul Koelewijn. Paul Wolters was responsible for the relation (and daily at (...) (22 years ago, 23-Oct-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.be, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.loc.it)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) Have to say, I'm a Castle Head, but I voted for the BSB. Of all the sets shown, the two that I thought of most as "Legends" were the Yellow Castle and the BSB. Both made me think of the "greatness" of Lego, and were both sets I had always (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

(...) The Legends vote started before the cypress tree was re-released. Obviously (to my mind) they didn't know they would/could provide the trees when they wrote the description for Main Street. James (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) Noooo!!!! I was hoping against all odds that the Battrax would somehow hold through all odds and somehow make it to the legend category, guess my vote was futile. I think it is very disadvantageous that the pirates sets got a foothold above (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates)

(...) There was some discussion about not including cypress trees when the Legends vote started in April of 2002. The cypress trees had already been announced in November 2001. John (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) Hmm. It may be true that there is no single archetypical Space set, but I can come up with a fair list of sets that I'd be happy to see as Legends. I've compiled such a list, but I might be biased. I'm definitely working from incomplete (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

  Re: New legend is up

First let me say that I would like to see some smaller sets rereleased as well as large ones. Sets the size of Guarded Inn, Pizza to Go, etc are the backbone of the line and sell in larger quantities as new sets. So I have no argument with the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

If I knew any better, I'd think that LEGO direct was trying to sway the vote from these two hallmark sets. You look at the rarity of these sets these days...and the costs of these sets on on-line marketplaces....well, that's my opinion anyways. I (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  New pictures LEGOWORLD 2002
