Re: modifying bricks - R20 RULE clarification

(...) Are you guys all of a sudden a bunch of Hassenplugs or something? Do you think you'll make the next MUP or whatever by nitpicking? :) Cutting hose for pneumatics (and, IIRC, cutting string, or at least tying it) is part of the regular building (...) It has come to my attention that some people have been trying to turn .trains into a place filled with steam trains and other such ancient rubbish. Fortunately these posts live low in a thread where they belong. As such I have decided to take it (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Teachers are usually assumed to have the benefit of in loco parentis, which grants them some immunity from this kind of thing (though I don't know of a good test-case that defines the boundaries). (...) Actually, sometimes the whole turret, including the 2x2 round brick, slips off the axle peg. So, I don't know if the 4x4 round brick would work any better. But it's a good suggestion nonetheless, and I regret not trying it out. The real (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Ghetto Lego?

Thats what I use the old lego from my childhood for. Most bricks have teethmarks, the white bricks are yellowed, and some even have chips (I now regret the abuse I gave to my Lego as a kid) run down, dirty bricks for run down dirty buildings. Silas (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

It is probably because the top of studs is slightly angled thus removing collisions. I'm (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  First Ever Juniorized Lego Part?

I was wondering about what was actually the first ever occurrance of Lego "Juniorization"? That is not an easy question to answer, since it is partly a matter of interpretation, but this part from 1966 gets my vote... (URL) is the "4x8 Train Base (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)
