Re: Lego factory sets / building instructions

(...) Thanks for advice. I had an old 486, Windows 98 SE and a tight internet security program. I couldn’t load set to LDD program and make instructions. Luckily I found James’ LDR/MPD-files from Brickshelf and made instruction by MLCAD. VILLE (18 years ago, 4-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains)

Newbie question about old lego trains

Hello, I've dug up my old Lego trains and am planning on putting it back together for my kids to play with. When I went on the Lego site I noticed that they have completely changed the rails and trains. My set is still the one with the blue rails (...) (18 years ago, 11-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains)

A new community of mischeif and mayhem

You know how when you go to look at the list of rules for a community forum, and the last one is something dumb like "The most important rule is to have fun"? Man, that irks me. Nobody has to tell me to have fun, it sorta comes naturally to me. And (...) (17 years ago, 22-Jul-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.announce, lugnet.people.adults) !!

(...) Perhaps one could argue that it's all about *LEGO*. When push comes to shove, we at the GMLTC don't push *trains* necessarily, but the concept of *LEGO*-- creativity, etc. Most of us were fans of the brick first. So whether dad is inspired by (...)   Re: Is it possible to run lego trains outdoors?

(...) I had not considered the effect of sunlight on the bricks. That's a show stopper for me, as I would like to leave structures in place, even if the trains come indoors after each use. Thank you to everyone for the suggestions and information. (...) (17 years ago, 18-Jul-07, to lugnet.trains)

Super Chief Engine Available from S@H?

It looks like the 10020 Super Chief may be available again in the near future. Currently the US Shop At Home site says "Backorders Accepted, Will ship by 15 Dec 2006". If this is true, it will mean the return of a favorite of LEGO train fans. It (...) (18 years ago, 6-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.lsahs, FTX)
