It would not surprise me, however, if this production
run is in bley instead of old light grey.

Im more curious to see if this production run of the locomotive and car sets
will use the new assemble-yourself wheelsets with separate wheels and
axles. The original ATSF production had running issues with their own grey
wheelsets due to the weight of the models and what appeared to be a variation
in the clearance tolerances used to make those wheelsets. I recall seeing
Ben Beneke post and speculate that the new wheelsets may not perform as well
because the axle doesnt go all the way through the wheels, IIRC.
While I dont have the $250 to try it, Id be curious to see how a full 5-car
2-locomotive Superchief trainset performs if this really is a new production
run.

Dear Paul,
thanks for bringing this topic back into discussion. The plastic trains are now
out for a while and I wonder if anyone has won experience on long term use (I am
talking about several hours or some days) of the new wheel sets especially under
7 or 8-wide MOC trains.
My concerns about the new wheel sets can be red here:

I would appreciate to get feedback on this. Thanks in advance!
