Re: Highly confused about Library Updates for MLCad

(...) It is quite possible that one number is for transparent bricks and the other is for regular solid ABS. IIRC they are different molds. The LDraw parts library tries to be as inclusive as possible. Tim (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Who Does Lego Like the Most?

So the 5th cycle of ambassadors was just announced, and I'd like to take some time to reflect on the state of the Ambassador program. 5 half-years in, and I'm still unsure of the goals, effects, and unintended consequences of the program.   So I got this NXT thingy....

Got it last night, didn't do much to it besides rip open the box and put some battries in it to hear the 'on' sound (miss the old 'beep beep' of the RCX, but that's neither here nor there...) (...) Indeed, while opaque parts are made from ABS, thansparent ones use polycarbonate. These plastics have different behaviour that require slightly different molds to get the tight tolerances you appreciate from LEGO bricks... Philo (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

(...) My opinion on the color change has held pretty firm since the beginning. As I thought then, and still do, the problems with the new colors are: They aren't the old colors.
