| Thanks Eric and Doug! The shock is to hold the track taught at just the right perimeter. It also allows the track to turn smoothly. The dozer can twist in place (one track in reverse-one forward) on smooth surfaces, but can't do so on carpet since (...) (18 years ago, 27-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

| I haven't said much on the issue, but every time I see a new dark "grey" brick my stomach turns because it a) doesn't match my old bricks and b) looks like a blah color to me. Though I am more inclined towards Jordan's observation car dome design since it has those grey pieces making it appear like it has support ribs just like the real ones.
