Re: Model of Colonial Williamsburg's Powder Magazine

(...) I was thinking of tackling the Governor's Palace next or perhaps one of the taverns. I'm going to send some pictures to my old boss down in C.W. - who knows, maybe they'll want us to build something for display in the Visitors' Center. I know (...) I just picked up the new Football sets 3403, 3408, and 3409!   Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Jake, Thanks for the "official" opportunity to be heard. I'll spare you the history, but suffice it to say that LEGO has been a part of my life for the past 34 years, and is one of the things that keeps me young. I posted a poll on LUGnet about this (...)   Mission Pics for BAYLUG

Hi, On Baylug.org there will hopfully be three "under construction" pics of Ross' Mission San Jose (in Fremont) built on 2 old 50x50 grey base plates for 4th Grade History. I will also try to post them to our new site on @home. The pics are: 1) a (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  855/955 Mobile Crane...well that's just plain bad luck :-(

Hello all, I need help. I won an auction on eBay selling an old 855 mobile crane. Since it came with the box, I took for granted it came with instructions. It didn't, and the seller let me know only 18 hours before the end of auction (so I couldn't (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Where to begin ?

Dave, If you can still lay your hands on it, get the Technic Space Shuttle. I know it's an older set, but I still see them in shops occasionally (in the Netherlands). Price is around US$ 120. It comes with lots of gears, beams, plates, axles, parts (...) (25 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: On creating life-sized sculpture

When building large scale models, it is a bit of a different way of building than the Staue of (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

(...) For me it was set 517, a 1980's small basic set that had 83 pieces to it. It cost about $4.99. I bought one at a nearby toystore back around 1985. When I got to the car and opened it, instead of 2 of the yellow 2x2 windows, it had 4 of them. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
