For me it was set 517, a 1980's small basic set that had 83 pieces to it. It
cost about $4.99. I bought one at a nearby toystore back around 1985. When I
got to the car and opened it, instead of 2 of the yellow 2x2 windows, it had 4
of them. Well I went back into the store and bought 3 more of them, each with
the extra 2x2 windows. That made 16 yellow 2x2 windows. Needless to say, when
I bought these sets at other stores I never found another with more than two of
these windows. And I ended up buying about 90 of these. That was because they
also had two 1x4x3 yellow windows with red panes, and a lot of the low sloped
blue bricks and peaks. I loved these old 517's. I bought more of them than any
other set. Other sets I bought in large quantites were the LEAR JET #455 and
the LONDON BUS #760.
