Re: And you call yourselves fans...

  Unknown Orange LEGO Windows/Doors Found....

Back in the 1950-55 era TLG made LEGO bricks in at least 24 colors (but only 4 sizes... 1x2, 2x2, 2x3 and 2x4). And they also made classic windows and doors, but different from the later (1956-86) classic windows/doors era. These earlier (...) (12 years ago, 16-Nov-12, to lugnet.general)

LEGO Magazine Advertisements Thru The Ages

TLG has been advertising in magazines for over 50 years. Chapter 68 of my LEGO DVD/download has many advertisements that I've gotten from many LEGO AFOLs from around the world. Some are simple designs... others are works of art. In 1959 TLG got an (...) (12 years ago, 20-Nov-12, to lugnet.general)

Traumatic Events in the Life of a Lego Fan

The "it's grey, folks, but not as we know it" change has certainly provoked comments ranging from thoughtful through irate, and ultimately to the ludicrous and downright bizarre. Lego's apparent disregard for its fans is nothing new, and many (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX) !!

Jake, Thank you for the quick reply. I am glad to hear about the studs issue, not so glad to hear about the color changes, but I'm sure you've heard much on this issue. One question--are current bulk parts at S@H in the "old" grays or the "new" (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Fwd from a builder: Colors don't match, among other things!

(...) Dunno, but does have me wondering how this change plays vis-a-vis the light and dark gray elements in the 4400 tubs that just hit the street. There are 50-ish lt-gray 2x2 bricks per tub. Is Lego dumping old-color parts ? Will these continue as (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Hello! (...) I'm not worried. I'm just disappointed. If those figures are "Castle" (and at least they are called "Knights' Kingdom" and not "Bionicle" oder "Galidor" or what else) I feel like TLC is kidding me.   Re: Petition against permanent color changes

  If It Ain't Broke...

The best (only?) good thing anyone has managed to say about the impending color change is that it will open up new building possibilities. I fail to see how a very slight change to a color does this. The limited LEGO palette has always been an (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)
