Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I can't speak for Joe, or Dan, or John, or the LEGO company... I can only speak for me. So here goes: (...) I've said it before and I'll say it again. If there isn't the quality of product being presented to these young kids that they (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) O.K. I think we agree here. You're saying the kids are going elsewhere in droves. You're saying Bionicle doesn't interest you. Is there a chance then that it doesn't interest the kids as well? This is what I'm saying... that LEGO's product (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Trolling for LEGO sets in Denmark

I recently spent 11 days in Denmark, and found a fair number of interesting (and cheap!) sets at LEGOLAND and the LEGOLAND Hotel in Billund. You can read about that here: (URL) message deals with buying LEGO in the rest of Denmark. I spent several (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: new lego sets? are they crazy?

(...) These are comments that I think the LEGO company should read very very carefully. Here is a company who is being told by one of it's customers, that they can have more of his money of they simply produce more of the products that he wants to (...)   Re: new lego sets? are they crazy?

(...) At the prices LEGO charges for any sets, it is hard to imagine classifying any of them as loss-leaders. Generally this is a sales tool used by retail stores as 'bait' essentially to lure you in with an item being sold at or below cost. Usually (...)   Post Show Debriefing

Hi guys, Well, it's time that we turned our minds towards the next show, whichever one that is. Let's take another look at our layout, logistics, organization, etc. and see if we can't improve on it. I've listed a few points. There are no doubt many (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Hi, I started listing more sets in my brickbay shop. These are a very rare 7725 12 V train set, and a 4558 metroliner. In the past few days I have been listing others sets, but no wanted notifications have gone out. I listed several train sets, and (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.brickshops)

Revision 2 of my 1:400 airport

Revision 2 of the main concourse is now complete. (URL) changed from 4-wide to six wide for the sake of scale. I went with bendy-arms for the jetways.   Re: what makes a legend?

(...) The solution here seems obvious... and free. Use more plain old regular bricks in the design of future sets. No need for new molds. No debates over specialized/juniorized parts. And best of all, more good old fashioned bricks with which to (...) (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
