Re: All this fuss about service packs and accessories

(...) Huh? I fail to see any reason for them not to keep listing the accessory packs in the catalogue until they are sold out (what's it take up , an inch or two per item?). You are asserting that they pulled these packs from sale so they could do (...) (23 years ago, 5-May-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Lindsay, you are correct. That includes pre-1980 as well. :-) I too have been "casting a covetous glance" at those curved red railing/fence pieces. Do they make the red straight railings??? I just loooooove those railing pieces. I built a (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.general)

  Reflections on my Lego past

It seems to me, now that I look back, that I have grown as a lego enthusiast. Grown, or reverted, who knows. Now that I look back... I see that my building style has matured. When I think about my first huge castle, built with the help of my friend (...) (23 years ago, 6-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Bad Policy #2 (Why all the secrecy, LEGO Direct?)

(...) Exactly! On one hand there is the official promotion of Lego as a great tool for the expression of and the development of a person's imagination.   Elem./Middle School Robotics

I posted the following under "Dear Lego" a few days back but in retrospect it should have been referenced here as well. I've finished this semester's lunchtime courses and am in the process of re-thinking this approach for next year. It strikes me (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.edu, lugnet.robotics)

Re: what not to do with LEGO

(...) I noticed the boiled bricks much, much, much sooner. Ack. Very bad. Sort of like the "fry-pan LEGO" thing from not too long ago. A 6985 in a fish tank is small fry (sorry, three-way pun fully intended) in comparison. BTW, I noticed you have (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

The GMLTC used 30"x45" tables for our last layout (actually just a skosh longer on each dimension to avoid module buckling). This size is convenient because (...)
