Hi folks,

I just uploaded some pictures of my latest train project: The "Riviera-Express"
which was operated by the "Deutsche Bundesbahn" in the 1960s. It traveled from
Hamburg through middle Europe down to the sea-resorts at the italian Riviera
coast.

Wowowowowow!!  Lovely!  Those carriages are precisely the sort of stuff I
had hoped to make, but have so far failed!

I was going to email you privately, but I am sure that I can't be the only
person who might want an answer to the following questions:

1.  Where do those wonderful "4x4" spoked wheels come from?  I have heard
rumour of a rare "only available in a certain set" spoked wheel, that is now
only now available on the second-hand market, for a lot of money.

If this is so, what are other sources of "4x4" wheels - or indeed any large
wheels.  I have some old "4x4" studed wheels myself, but do Lego still make
others?

2.  Where do you get the 33 degree sloped black roof bricks in quantity -
and especially the corner bits!?  And the grey ones?  And (the ones I REALLY
want) white ones!

3.  Train doors - Lego S@H has just two colours (blue and grey).  But Holger
has lots of colours!  So, can you get dark brown?

Hmmmm . . .white roof, dark brown doors . . .did someone say "Orient Express"?

4.  In the luggage van, how do you fit the classic doors in upside down!?
Two 1x2 tiles to give two un-studded faces?   Special adapter brick?  Use of
a nail-file? (noooooo!)

5.  Finally, Holger, do you plan to publish the plans for these excellent
carriages?!?!?

You know, I am in Germany over the Summer . . . maybe I could pick up the
plans, and some nice white slopes, and the spoked wheels . . . . 6 metal
rims . . some track . . . some more track . ..

Robert
