How much would you expect to pay for in a Chess set from TLC?

Hello out there! I know, they would probably never make one as great as we all could, and it probably would not have all the features I'd want. But if this "design it yourself online, then buy it" thing turns out to be true for 2002, I'm gonna be (...) (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Road Trip to Lille tomorrow

Hi all, Just a short note to let you know that I'm going to stop at the DYA superstore in Hazebrouck tomorrow on my way to Lille. I've got exactly enough petrol in the car to be on empty when we get there, so I'll find the place 'by chance' ;-) Have (...) (24 years ago, 20-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Uselessness of .debate

(...) I agree, I'd be sad to see it go. But what I'm really sad is that as far as I'm concerned, it's gone now. A year ago I really enjoyed .debate. The past few months, the time for a thread to deteriorate into one of the two recurring shouting (...) (24 years ago, 18-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.general)

  Don't forget

Don't forget, everyone's welcome at my place on Saturday 12/23 at 2:00. Bring your own drinks unless you like 3-week old apple juice, Diet Pepsi, or water. If those sound good then you're welcome to them. I'll also pick up some chips and salsa. I'll (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.us.az)

  Re: Radical statement!

(...) 4561 is not between Duplo and "crafstman" trains. It is part of the LEGO System Train theme, designed for children between the ages of 8 and 12. It is not a City Center set. Yes, the front of the engine is formed largely by two specialized (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: A VERY interesting article on the Lego Business

(...) worth. My question that I will continue to ask until I can no longer, is what will happen to all the AFOL's in 20 years? First, Lego might not be around in twenty years. Besides the obvious, that might not seem too terribly bad. But bricks are (...) (24 years ago, 26-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Rollout of the New Space Shuttle Intrepid

(URL) they don't do however is open and close very easily - I'm still battling some warpage problems there. I built the (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) I've got a design that looked more like a Nazgul's winged steed: Black horse, 2 black car headlight bricks, a single 1x2 black plate on top, 2 black accessory clips (the vertical kind that go on top of a stud), and 2 black wings. Add a red (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  mini-review of Legoland

Hi, Ashley :-) and others: I went to Legoland CA the week before Christmas and I had a few observations to make. We were a party of 5: two old folks, two parents, and one 5-year-old kid. * Part of what got us to go when we did was Ashley's post (...)   UPDATE: Re: Weeks Box - round two (...no, really!)

The Weeks box has been passed on to Shiri. I switched out the box with one which didn't smell like a chimney. I also sort of organized some of the parts (though my contribution is in a separate bag). If you want to be surprised by the box, don't (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
