Re: Codes for New Colors (was: Sand Red Bricks)

(...) I always thought the RGBs in the FAQ were supposed to be approximations of the 'real colors'. LDraw's palette is a poor match for real LEGO, and I'd hate to be stuck with it's selections. Although there were some values that we didn't have any (...) (23 years ago, 2-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Homemade Xmas Gift: Magazine Rack from LEGO Bricks

A couple of years ago, I got irritated by a stack of magazines laying around the house and decided to throw together a quick little holder for them using some DUPLO bricks. Later on my mother-in-law spotted it and asked if I would build her one. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX) !

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Surely one of the main values of a construction toy is that more bricks can be added over time to create new models. This is why I cannot understand why the LEGO company is removing the colour compatibility of new sets with old. The changes are (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  mini-review of Legoland

Hi, Ashley :-) and others: I went to Legoland CA the week before Christmas and I had a few observations to make. We were a party of 5: two old folks, two parents, and one 5-year-old kid. * Part of what got us to go when we did was Ashley's post (...) I think the large 48x48 baseplates should be available in the old grey. Other than that, I'd like to see all basic bricks, plates, slopes, and tiles made available in the NEW greys. Maybe in buckets to supplement the slow leak they've been released (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

This weekend I built a simple rollercoaster together with my youngest son (he's 19 now!). It's nothing compared to the big coasters some others have built, but we did have fun!
