  Re: Quality issue - update

(...) Not suer how you come up wit that conclusion. These bricks are from my old sets, purchased in Canada between 1973-1978. I am suspecting these specific bricks came from set 256-1 released in 1976. I would doubt that these were 10 year old (...)   Re: Anyone going to the Galactic Challenge?

Hi! With regard to David's and Thomas' success at LEGO competitions, people should know that they are not alone in having made multiple appearances over the years. From my personal knowledge, I can state there also exist: A family from Michigan with (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.legoland, lugnet.general)

  Re: Mongols + Arabian Knights?

(...) I would love a Roman theme...heck I figured Lego would have done it in the 80's...all the elements were there for great chariots, aquaducts, and other Romanesque buildings. I had hoped that Lego was going to expand the "castle-themes of the (...) (24 years ago, 30-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.castle.org)

Re: Aging pieces with printing and logos

(...) Obviously the bricks with "engraved" lettering have a better chance of lasting a long time since the "engraving" protects the paint. On the other hand, I think these bricks are just painted with normal paint. The newer way that TLC does (...) (24 years ago, 7-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Very old Classic Windows.

Manuel, The windows you are talking about came out around 1955 or 1956 (which is the date of the catalog you have described). The catalog probably also probably has the old LEGO Gnome (small man in red overalls and white shirt) shown in it. This (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Redux of Moonbase Beta-1

If you remember a couple monthes ago i made a post about a moon base, now. I need parts. I am willing to pay $$ for LARGE ( i mean HUGE) amounts of white and grey pieces. No Duq, there are other neurotics out there. My LEGO Cathedral (still unfinished) has thousands of red 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x6 and 1x8 bricks. Most of them were from my old cathedral which I built in 1986, but destroyed in 1996 to build the new one. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

5934 Track Master / Dino Explorer review

I bought this set, just to have a red pterodactyl ^-^ I'm pretty dissappointed, though: 1. Red looks awful on a pterodactyl 2. The set isn't that good. It's a vehicle on threads, and a small rock with a fire, plant, and water barrel. Included is (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Is LEGO killing off the very concept of a Theme?

  Dave and bubbleheadedness...

So I'm looking at one of my MOCs, and thinking, "Gee, 2x2x1 old style white windows would be better suited for that..." I go into my window bin and search... and search... and search some more... and yet no 2x2x1 old style windows. I found 2x3x1, (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

SCALA was originally used for a line of LEGO jewelry (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.duplo, lugnet.scala)
