Re: White Knight's Gate - first CCC MOC

(...) Thanks Ben. My collection of white minifigs is limited, so the gate remains a rather weak spot in any city. More archers above would be nice, but I could only find one crossbow and one bow. Oh well. Unfortunately the way it turned out it's (...) (21 years ago, 26-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

  My Pick-A-Brick Experience

I had the opportunity to visit the new Chicagoland LEGO store at Woodfield Mall last night. Tim Courtney and Ondrew Hartigan (who both work there but were not on duty) offered to meet me at the store and I met up with them shortly after 7:00. Over (...)   Re: Brick Testament article in Baltimore Sun

(...) I recently met a man at the local Pick-a-Brick wall who was clearly looking at the bricks out of personal interest. We struck up a conversation and The Brick Testament came up. Turns out he is a youth minister. He said to me "It is so good to (...) (21 years ago, 6-Dec-03, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Improved Pick-A-Brick packing

Here is my method of stacking 143 2x4 bricks, 2 2x2 and 21 1x2 in a Pick-A-Brick cup and still having the lid snap tight. I watched Chris Phillips pack one cup then took the idea home and used some trial and error to improve my piece counts. I just (...)   LUGnet -- home at last

Ah, the bliss, the joy of a working LUGnet via NNTP! Ever since the DoS attack on LUGnet's NNTP default port, I've been living in an almost LUGnet-free zone, as I live in Fortress DSTC, whose firewall wouldn't allow me to access LUGnet via NNTP (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

Boycot the New Castle Knight Sets

I started a bit of a flame war between castle heads and Bionical, and that was never the intention. I may not personally like Bionical sets, but that doesn't mean they were "useless" or ill-conceived. The sale of Bionical has brought TLC back into (...)   A far more insidious change to the brick!

Hey all, WOW! I check in after a few weeks and the whole world ended! I'm adopting a wait-and-see approach to the color change, although having so many different grays will be annoying and time-consuming purely from a sorting standpoint. The change (...)
