  SNOT Fractional Offsets

All Right, I'm in the process of building a boatm using the now popular SNOT studs-out hull contouring approach. Given that a plate is 0.4 studs thick, one can get the following offsets pretty easily: -0.2 studs: use one of the 1x1 side-stud (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.build)

Moonbase Module : Alpha Living Quarters

Hi everyone! After seeing the 'Moonbase Project' page and the first modules, I was bitten by the Moonbase Project bug and decided to build a module too!   Re: SNOT Fractional Offsets

(...) I checked these out last night. The new version, with the thin center ring, results in a flush surface. That is, the center ring is 1/2 plate thick, so that a tile on either side ends up flush with the 1x1 plate. The old ones, however, have a (...)   Re: Elgo set (not Lego) for sale

Well now I have an Elgo Skyline. Thanks, Ray. I'm intrigued by 3 alien bricks found in the Elgo--can anyone identify these? They are white, 1" by 0.5", height 0.5", with two square studs. Walls are nominally 1/16" thick and the square studs are (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Service pack 5111 - Wires - no longer available

I'll care what the voltage is, becuase I have to buy batteries for it/use a wall wart. Higher voltage == more batteries/more expensive batteries, and also more space. So, it seems to me (since the RCX/siblings are already fairly large on a Lego (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pics: Interlocking Tower

Hey, that looks really good. I've always wanted to do a building with all small plates as they're closer to the size of a real brick on minifig scale. A Lego brick is closer to an over-sized cinder block. Unfortunately I've never had enough small (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)
