Re: Trees: how to build them?

(...) That is the 'grid' layer of the 'grid and tower' system we use to build up from baseplate height to just below ground level. Check out my crude drawing here: (URL) left to right: 2x2 brick towers (between 5 and 7 bricks tall), 2x4 brick grid, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) The porgram is called MEGAPov. It is an unoffical patch of POV-Ray. You can get it here: (URL) the same as POV-Ray but you use the find_egde function to get the brick lines. An easier way is to install POV, MEGAPOv and LPub. LPub has a (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: what makes a legend?

(...) I can definitely live without the metal-axle wheels - others may not. But its the design of the buildings of those sets that is great and why they should be reissued. The loss of a metal axle is not a show stopper for me. (...) In reality, no. (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: how perfect....

This is why I'd prefer bricks for the cell walls instead of plates. If a block is hung up on a brick wall it is obviously out of shape, but if its hanging on the edge of a plate wall it becomes more of a judgement call. I feel the block should be (...)   Insignia della Infanta (was Re: 6291 Armada Flagship)

(...) I am about half-way through my rebuild (damn tendonitis!) to be christened "Insigna della Infanta". I have 2 centre sections and it isn't looking like a canoe. But still, I felt more height would help balance the greater length. So I've built (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) As a member of the Lego-buying community, can I just say how fantastic what you're doing is. I'll admit I haven't bought a Guarded Inn (yet)*, and I doubt I'll fork out for a Metroliner (my trains are all British steam-era customs), but just (...) I tried converting the part to a DXF, and had no problem. Which version of Bryce are using? Although what you describe sounds similar to something I have seen with other parts. Some of the parts I have brought into Bryce contain "bowties". This (...) (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Is it wrong?

Hi folks, I have a dumb question: Is it wrong, and by wrong, I mean, would it be unusual or looked down on, to have the roof of a building in a Town layout to be made of plexiglass or glass?
