I tried converting the part to a DXF, and had no problem. Which version of
Bryce are using? Although what you describe sounds similar to something I
have seen with other parts. Some of the parts I have brought into Bryce
contain "bowties". This problem occurs in many of the parts when converted
to be used in Bryce. To get around this I have reworked some of the parts
so that when they are converted the problem spots do not occur. Example of
other parts that have problems are the the 2345 - castle wall and all
variations, 30360 Cylinder; used for engines on Star Wars models, 3004P05,
1x2 Brick with grille pattern. This is just to name a few.
