  Positioning VIA 5th Wheel

I worked on a robotics project in which my program controlled a very big (18,000 pounds) piece of equipment and need to know its position. It was used for railroad track maintenance and road on the tracks. Even though this was a one dimensional (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Flex System question

(...) A very good question. A asked Lego service for this info, and after much chasing they sent me their "official" document of lengths (which I still have) and a free set. I measured the sent sealed Service Pack against their document and it was (...) (22 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Unable to download P_code

Hi everybody, When the one end of the RJ11 cable plug into the RJ12 side entry(J10), it supposed the red LED on the charger board will light up. However, it failed to light up. Hence, this made the booststrap failed and I unable to download the (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Laser Range Finder -> PDA -> RCX

I came accross an interesting product while looking at some WIFI news today. This probably has limited use for Lego(TM) robots for three reasons: A) The unit uses BlueTooth for communications. (no CIR) B) It would likely be quite expensive. C) It is (...) (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Voltage Sensor

Hello, (...) This idea, while in itself interesting, will not work when the 12V battery gets regulated down to 9V. This is because these 9V will barely vary across the regulator's permitted input range. If of course the regulator is specifically (...) (22 years ago, 16-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Lego factory gallery ratings and URL linking???

One comment I will make-- I don't think they would want the general "rating" per se. I think there's potential for kids to feel bad if their submitted models are rated poorly. Doesn't mean you couldn't circumvent that risk, but you'd have to base (...) (17 years ago, 12-Mar-08, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: How much does LEGO Weigh?

(...) Hm, looking at the picture I get to wondering. These numbers are pretty ridiculously small to even more ridiculously small precision. Would it not be more "correct" to measure more than one at the time and divide, perhaps then adding in an (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.market.shipping, lugnet.general)

Hello everybody, I want to build a compass sensor. I already have an electric diagram for the sensor itself, but there are some problems. I have already studied the Light sensor diagram at Mr. Gasperi's website, but I don't quite how the sensor (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Lego Scale Conversion Tool

If you're a freak like me, you love to convert things into minifig scale and technic scale. You want to see exactly how long a minifig-scale mile would be. And how tall would the Sears tower be in technic scale? Would a minifig scale aircraft (...) (23 years ago, 12-Mar-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.faq) !!

Solid Modeling of a Lego(tm) Person with Pro/ENGINEER

  Broken charger board...still broken

Hi all, just in case anyone feels like helping, I thought I'd post an update on the current (and very sick) state of the charger/interface board I accidently turbocharged by plugging the 120V adapter into a 240V outlet. Robolab 2.5 is based on LEGO-firmware 2.0, which has many new features, but not this one. If you want to do your (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)
