Re: Is it possible to use LDView as POV-Ray previewer?

(...) I tried to implement this functionality, but ran into a brick wall. The problem is that L3P doesn't allow for arbitrary camera positioning, so there's no way to convert LDView's arbitrary camera position into an L3P command line. Specifically, (...)   The importance of studs in holding storage shelves

And I don't mean Lego studs - I mean wood studs... (2 URLs) My wife kindly took these pictures of me in my Lego room, after she removed what little Lego remained on the shelves, while I still held the remnants of the shelves. This wall was mostly (...) (19 years ago, 17-Nov-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.storage, FTX)

LEGO Store Display Install in Portland: Oh, The Drama

So here's the lowdown... The local LEGO train club (GPLR) was invited to participate in a pilot program to set up a display inside one of the cases at our local LEGO Brand store. We're one of three clubs participating, and the last one to install (...) (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, FTX) !!

  Lego Creator Show - Melbourne

Went to the Lego Creator Show at Myer Melbourne today. Wasn't expecting much from this as the last few have been really really lame. Though in no way comparable to the Lego World Shows of the 1980s, this was far superior to any of TLC's recent (...) (19 years ago, 4-Dec-05, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Pick-A-Brick Whining ...

(...) I completely understand where you’re coming from. Pick a brick is very frustrating. I’m still trying to figure out why they put black 4x7 car bases in the wall. The wheels that would go on that base are wayyyyy too small for what they would (...) (19 years ago, 3-Jan-06, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Blatant thievery with a twist.

While perusing Eric Harshbarger's site, I noticed his Twenty-One Mural (URL) And of course, all my close friends know what a fan of math I am!!! .... add to that, the need to fill a blank wall, the desire to have a Lego "corkboard" for memos above (...)   Y??? 'Cause I'm asking!!!

So a few questions for rtl20 I think Derek asked this one--the 4 stud width beside the opening--does ths mean it can be 4 studs until the next opening, or does each opening require it's own 4 stud walls with no overlap? Fine ASCII Graphix below-- (...) (19 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Pick-a-Brick Christmas Box

(...) I was there with Steve as he stuffed the box full of LEGO®. He would yell out, I need more windows. :) And I would snag more birck from the wall. It was great trying to get as much brick in the box as possible. Deffently had to think outside (...) (19 years ago, 31-Dec-05, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: My handyboard does not run.....

Dear Mr. Gleason, I gave up to download pcode from my PC (Dell Dimension XPS133c), and I tried to connect the board to Macinctosh (LC475). Then, I could download pcode and the board run well. As Fred's suggestion, the problem was not your board but (...) (29 years ago, 21-Feb-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: pwering the NXT

(...) OK. Take a NXT brick and turn it over. Have a closer look at its underside. You'll notice a curious breakout in the casing of the battery pack. It has the right size for a little coaxial power plug like the one used for the 9V trains. All it (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  15' max measurement

Yup, it looks like 15' is about as far as I can measure. In fact, if the distance is _too_ great, I start getting weird measurements, on the order of 8 or 9 feet. Strange. (...) I believe it would matter what type of material you reflect the pulse off of, I would guess. Different surfaces have differenc acoustical properties. Just like they have those silent rooms and echo chambers, etc. (28 years ago, 14-May-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
