  Follow up to Camera Tricks
 
A few messages ago, I brought up a technique for setting camera positions in POV-RAY by setting up light source objects in MLCAD. I had heard this from someone else. As Shiri says, 6097 is the perfect choice for castle parts these days. It is cheap, easily available, and has a wide range of parts. It was on sale a while back at kbkids.com for only $25! The downside of this is that nearly every LUGNET'er has a (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Thanks for the compliments! My aquazone history is kind of interesting. I never bought a single aquazone set until last year. Then, just for fun, I got a 6199 (Hydro-crystalization station or something like that). However, I never used it to build (...) I came out of my dark ages because I bought a house that had an extra room I wasn't using. Previous to this, I had a small, 1 bedroom condo. All my childhood LEGO was packaged up at my parents house. At Christmas, I would get out my pre-dark-ages (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.people)

My natural history museum is around that side and its replete with special pieces (rather than using standard bricks). You have a good start. I could suggest a few other things. Set 5033 is very limitted to being used as sirens or something like that on the top of a car. Set 5308 is MUCH better suited to general use. Hi Richard, I agree that I didn't research this quite enough, but I think you're being a bit too harsh. Based on prices I had seen on Brickbay (which do tend to be higher than EBAY), the going rate for a complete set from the US (this seemsimportant (...)   Poor Mans Work Table
 
The following work table was my Sundays project. For starters I use to build on a 3/8 inch 4x8 board layed across a printer stand and a old desk. To say the least it was very flimsy.
