Re: Why aren't LDRAW tools Open Source?

(...) I spent a bit of time working out how to reply to this mail without coming across as an open source zealot :) (...) I always thought open source relied on the concept of copyright (one of the 3 major concepts in intellectual property). It is (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad)

Most recently, TLG's lawsuit in Canada against MEGABLOKS for patent violation was thrown out, as discussed here: (URL) in numerous other (...) (21 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) My original point was to figure out your stance on morality. Your initial posts seemed rather ignorant of charity, and focused on justice solely. More specifically, on consequences of actions. Anyway, yeah, the point modified itself. (...) (...) (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

They are posted on a public server by TLG with no protection whatever. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Hey Y'all: I am amazed at the variety of subjects y'all are willing to debate here -- everything from polyamory, to Larry and Scott, to gun control.   Re: 2000 Dealer catalogue Removal Request Backfire?

Here's my quick opinion: TLG has the right to do as they wish with their information, and that includes putting restrictions on how and when (and if) it is made available. TLG doesn't respect us much, if at all, as a corporation now. This whole (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.general)
