| (...) Communication with the RCX looks fine, but the RCX is refusing to change the program. This is exactly what would happen if no firmware was loaded. Are you sure you have firmware installed? Note that the RCX draws very little power when turned off, and thus can retain memory for a while even without any batteries (cacitance on the power supply rails hold the RAM for a while). | Hi, I want to say thanks, too, but I have a problem: I cant't compile and download programmes to the RCX. I always get the message: Compile Failed Errors found during compilation But I can download the firmware. Does anyone has a solution? Thx Franz (...) Really DUMB question but I have to give my borrowed RCX back and buy my own so I went to remove legOS from my mates RCX to give it back and guess what... it won't go! :( I looked in the HOWTO and it says hold down Prgm and press the on.off (...) | (...) No idea why that wouldn't work, it always has for me. I hold down prgm and as soon as I hit on/off, there's a little beep and the thing shuts off.
