My DSDK AT AT Walks backwards

Perhaps someone else has had this problem. I've built the DSDK AT AT twice now (very cool!) and have followed the instructions to the letter (I think) however for some reason when I have finished it walked backwards instead of forwards. (...) I did this a few weeks ago myself. Just call Lego Shop @ Home and they will transfer you over to customer service and they will send you the replacement shocks for free. (...) How stricked is ZB about early scratching? I was worried about "early scratching" and did not want to find I voided a 50% card. But, with 3 small kids in the house, things get grubby.
