This is similar to the problem that I had for years with walkers, mecha, what
have you. I just didn't know where to start when it came to leg
articulation. When I was a kid I just used 2x1 horizontal hinges, but when I
came out of my dark ages that wasn't good enough, as they weren't very
sturdy. Then, one day, Lego came up with the Throwbots. Those leg/arm
segments with the ball and sockets on either end rock. I suggest you start
looking at those. and if it looks too mechanical maybe you can cover it up
some-- or better yet-- it could be a clockwork dragon! Ooooooooh.

| (...) I started building one of these, quite some years ago. It had barrels for a neck, gems (well, red 1x1 round plates) for eyes, and the big polearm axes over the neck with the blades forming ridges over the eyes... I scrapped working on it when (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.build)
