Ancient Theme News. 12 Entries. New Sponsor.

On Sunday I showed a number of Ancient Theme contest entries to folks from LEGO Direct and LEGO Electronics R&D. There were a number of enthusiastic reactions in the crowd. (Sorry, but I can't recall who said the nice things about specific models.) (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: The Brick Testament: Jesus Redux

Hi, Bruce. Nice to have your comments again. (...) There's nothing in the works at this point. From what I've been able to gather, the first book (Stories from Genesis) sold very well, and initial sales of the Christmas book looked really good, but (...) Let's get Joshua to comment, but for now.... I'll put my oar in anyway. (...) That definition ("has trainwheels") matches all three of the categories cars, locos, and train sets. So I don't think that's it. I believe 3225 is the only set across ALL (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

Hey Brendan, Great as always. I do think you're overemphasizing the brutal aspects, and it's getting harsher, but that's a religious debate I don't want to get into here. I'll focus on the building: God kills 24000: That idol is great. Very good use (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

(...) I definatly concur. There are very few sets that can be labeled "Space" that I would not buy if they were reissued. Anything from a theme pre-dating Spyrius would be a "Must Buy" definatly.   Re: Lego and Disney, a continued future?

Ahui makes some good and persuasive points, but I have a few counter arguements. First, the Disney toy monorail SUCKS! It's clear though that Disney is open to the posibility of features of the park being modeled in toy stature. By the way, a little (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.general)
