Re: Help identifying 2x8 brick with single hole

(...) Thanks for the info Christian, I always thought it was part of the Car Steering Gear Axle assembly found in truck sets of 1967-74. This was where you could turn a 1x2 brick (with "LEGO" embossed on one side of the brick) on top of the cab of a (...) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Inventory for set 725 Lego Town Plan

(...) When I first read the contents on Peeron, my jaw dropped, because I thought that this was the first time that an early version of the #725 Town Plan set had actually been located: (URL) when I contacted Indranil, it was confirmed that the set (...)   The most valuable Lego sets

In my upcoming Lego CD I mention what I consider to be the most valuable Lego sets. Until recently most AFOLs probably thought that the #398 USS Constellation was the most valuable Lego set. Well there are a few sets that are more valuable (...) (20 years ago, 4-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: new pictures from the Lego archive Billund

(...) Thanks for the great pictures Jan! A lot of AFOLs won't be familiar with some of these, so perhaps I can shed some light a few of them. 1824(.jpg) This appears to be refills to the Danish (only?) retailer brick boxes. (...) This picture shows the same clear plastic garages I discussed. And most Lego catalogs for Europe of that era show the garage doors in red, and the garage base in white (it looks gray in some catalogs that show the red door, but they were (...)   Rarest Regular Lego Part....

First off, I wanted to say thanks for the folks (in reply to my post about the rarest Lego set) that mentioned the rare and very valuable gold Bionicle mask. Jeeeeesse I wasn't going to even include Bionicles in my Lego document, but now it looks (...) (20 years ago, 16-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Rarest Regular Lego Part....

(...) Yes I knew there would be a lot of very rare printed items. And there are a lot of items only found in 1 set. With Lego, there are so many rare pieces, that it becomes nearly impossible to say what is the "rarest" part. However, here are two (...) (20 years ago, 18-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

When talking about the rarest Lego pieces, it kind of reminds me of something I red about the cathedrals of Europe and North America, namely "the number of cathedrals claiming to be one of the 6 largest in the world numbers at least 20". :-) (...)   Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

OK, someone brought this to my attention from a Bricklink post. But there is a new 4679 Creator set tub with 1000 pieces (for $19.99), with an extra 500 pieces that looks like they're emptying the rare colors bins at TLG. I just checked the hollow (...)   The excitement of a new Lego color!

"Yes I remember very well the excitement of finding out that Lego came out with a new color. My hands were trembling when I saw it right there plain as day in the toy store window.   A Set within a Set.

Well I was looking at an old wooden box set I found in Germany 20 years ago, it was #712. I don't think I have seen it anywhere else (EBAY or ??) since.   Wonderful old Minitalia Lego Windows from 1970's

I just purchased some old Minitalia Lego windows from an Italian Bricklink seller.
