| | Re: History of extreme slope?
| (...) HI Joakim, There is no complete history of LEGO, but I have (with Todd Lehman's kind permission) started a "HISTORY OF LEGO" series that you can access from the bottom of the LUGNET.GENERAL menu screen under "Links & Resources". Although (...) (24 years ago, 10-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

| Just curious, but here are a few things that I have never seen that might never have been release to the LEGO public....... or were they???? 1) Cellulose Acetate plates in yellow??? Yellow first came out in 1965 in sizes 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 (...) (24 years ago, 10-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Letters & Numbers?
| (...) This is an old thread, but I bet that these letters do make great tall vertical Marquee's (theater signs) that usually can be found in old American/Canadian movie theaters from the 1920's-50's. These tall signs that were freestanding (but (...) (24 years ago, 12-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Brick.tube evolution?
| I've noticed this several times during my Lego career, but while browsing my stash of 2x4 bricks I noticed it again and thought I'd ask. The tubes on some of my older bricks have slots in them. I seem to recall realizing this years ago, thinking at (...) (25 years ago, 27-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Building a Mini-fig Army, how much to pay
| Dan Siskind has a number of castle dudes that he has accumulated, he may or may not be willing to sell some off. I have a picture of ranks and ranks of them, which, someday, if I ever find my driver disk for the scanner, or get the energy to track (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

| | Re: Advertising for the meeting
| What came before ATL??? I did. :-) Back in 1986 when I came out of the proverbial "Lego closet", it was just me and TLC (I know--- how pretentious!!!!!!). And then there were a few referrals from TLC Enfield.... the Canadian Broadcast Corp.- I was (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.us.mi, lugnet.general)

| Eric, (...) Utica, MI? Hmm... Well, I think we AFOL's here in Michigan could throw parties for each other, I am sure people like Gary Istok, Larry P, Mark Koesel, you, and I, could have a great time swapping each others inventories and the like. | Tim, you're not gonna like this.... But for me "plundering" in the USA in the 1980's usually meant "clearance sales". And at $19.95 each, Yellow Castles and Main Street's..... well lets just say I couldn't resist. And those toy store liquidations of (...) | | Re: What about City/Town?
| I would hope that Town has not been discontinued! It has been the mainstay of LEGO since 1955, when the "TOWN PLAN" system was introduced. This was LEGO's only system until 1963 (when the Architectural System made its short lived appearance). Gary (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Yes those are hard to come by. And Mike is right, those 1x1 blue tiles are very scarce. I didn't think I had any until I found 12 in an old box. That got me to thinking about what pieces are rare. Yes there are rare slopes and arches such as (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)
